Application Guidelines
You must be 18 of age in 2010 and over.
Accepted participants are expected to remain at Round Top for the full six-week period (June 6 - July 18, 2010) without absences. Your schedule should be planned accordingly. No leave of absence will be granted.

Auditions
All applicants have the choice to audition in person or send a recorded audition.
(All recorded auditions - in person and prerecorded - will be sent to the appropriate faculty for comments.)
1) In person auditions: Electronic Application must be submitted no later than 5 days prior to the audition date. Applicants should email or phone (as soon as possible!) the Program Director to schedule audition times and receive information about exact audition locations. Call 979-249-3086 between 10 AM and 5 PM Central Time. Auditions are recorded and do not exceed 15 minutes per applicant. All specific orchestral excerpts are required (with a few exceptions specifically marked as optional). A solo piece of your choice (unless imposed) will be recorded as well (piano collaboration is optional.)
Applicant taking auditions in person must have submitted an electronic application form and bring a check of $65 payable (if not already paid online) to The James Dick Foundation for the Performing Arts. Two recommendations should be submitted later either by emailing alaind@festivalhill.org or snail mail (Alain Declert, P.O. Box 89, Round Top, TX 78954), but must be received in Round Top by February 28, 2010.

2) Recorded Auditions: Submit an Electronic Application. Then, send your recorded audition (CD only) which should be postmarked no later than Saturday February 13, 2010 and mailed to Alain Declert PO Box 89 Round Top, TX 78954-0089. The CD should include All listed specific orchestral excerpts (with a few exceptions specifically marked as optional) and a solo piece of the applicant's choice (unless the solo piece is imposed.)(Piano collaboration is optional.) Total time should not exceed 15 minutes! Please, make sure that your CD is playable, mark both your CD and its case with your name and address, as well as repertoire. Enclose a check for $65 payable to The James Dick Foundation for the Performing Arts or use the online payment. Two recommendations should be submitted later either by emailing alaind@festivalhill.org or snail mail (Alain Declert, P.O. Box 89, Round Top, TX 78954), but must be received by February 28, 2010.
