This Saturday, June 23, 2018, Round Top Festival Institute celebrates "A Day Honoring Women in the Arts." On the occasion of composer Joan Tower's 80th Birth Year Celebration, Ms. Tower will grace our campus with her presence. Her works will be featured in all concerts on the special day. The Institute presents conductor Michelle Merrill for the 7:30 PM concert. Flutist Carol Wincenc will perform during the 1:30 PM and 7:30 PM concerts.

The Round Top Music Festival performances continue this Saturday, June 23 with Chamber and Orchestral Concerts. Performers include the young artists* in residence, who also comprise the Texas Festival Orchestra, and their prominent faculty. |2018 Round Top Music Festival Announced in Musical America|
The 2018 Round Top Music Festival was announced in a press release, penned by Round Top Festival Institute's Program Director Alain Declert, in the January issue of Musical America. The press release is reprinted below.
Ninety young talented artists chosen from more than 500 applicants from all over the world will convene at tiny Round Top, Texas on Sunday June 3 till Sunday July 15, 2018. The six-week intensely concentrated course supervised by its founder and artistic director, James Dick, includes orchestra rehearsals and performances, chamber music coaching and performances, master classes and private lessons. Forty faculty members and six conductors will mentor the participants. Alums of the previous 47 years are to be found at any corner of the planet playing in great symphony orchestras and teaching in leading universities and conservatories. Twelve of them are now teaching at Round Top!
